Summary: Exploring Visual and Musical Elements in Animation

​​Join our Animation & Music Summer Camp, designed for students to explore the magic of storytelling through animation and music. Participants will study iconic scenes from famous films, learning how visuals and Joe Hisaishi’s memorable soundtracks work together to create emotion and atmosphere. The camp includes character analysis, cultural symbolism, and the role of nature in animation. Students will also engage in hands-on creative projects, such as crafting paper artworks or making short stop-motion animations, allowing them to bring their favorite characters and scenes to life while deepening their appreciation of visual storytelling.

Group 1 :

Group Size: 8 students

August 18th – 22nd (Ages: 8 - 11 )​

Cost:$1000/week/per

Time:9:00 AM - 3:30 PM

August 25th – 30th (Ages: 12  and  Up)

Stop Motion animation

(Ages: 12  and  Up)

Paper Art Project

(Ages: 8 - 11 )​

After learning about the role of music in animation, students will create their own characters inspired by the animations they studied. They will use paper art to design these characters, considering their connections and backgrounds from the story. The project will culminate in the creation of a mobile hanging, showcasing their characters

Meet Our Special Instructor!

Sean Wang

Sean Wang is a talented French horn player who has been actively involved in various musical fields and prominent projects. He has served as the understudy horn player for Broadway's Aladdin, a horn player with the New England Film Orchestra, and the principal horn player of the New England Brass Band.
